Vive Olivia!

Do we have any Olivia fans out there? Surely you know Olivia? She's a very special porcine young lady with very definite ideas. I made this quilt for my 5 yr old granddaughter, Madison, in honor of her birthday tomorrow. She'll be six yrs old & I can't believe it. I hate my grand-babies to grow up. Anyway, the quilt is no big deal because it's just a panel I machine quilted and backed with a small Olivia print.

But here's the cute part, I took the leftover Olivia print and coordinating fabrics, and made a little purse for Maddie. I trimmed it with rickrack (love that stuff) and sewed a big ole button on it for closure. Pardon me for saying so, but it's cute, cute.
Tomorrow we have the BIG party with a pinata. Now that will be fun. Hope to have some good pics of that to share. Have a great weekend. Nerm

Very very nice. Wow you have got talent. Do you work outside the home or how do you find time to do all those fun projects?

Very cute!!! Your grandaughter is going to love these!!! My 5 1/2 year old loves purses now, purses with a long enough strap to wear across her chest. Her grandmother knitted her a purse like that for Christmas and she wears it every day!! She only has a rosary in it but she still loves wearing it!

Very cute!! I love the stories with Olivia. My daughters always checked out those books from the library. Lucky little girl that gets to have the quilt and purse.

Hi again,
I guess I'll answer your question on your post. Yes it is Tula Pink. I couldn't decide on the different colors. So cute. I love my Bernina, but I'll have to say I was a bit intimidated by it. I don't know why. I'm getting better with it. I had one sewing machine for 20 plus years, so it is hard to make the switch.
