A Special Treat

Yum. Yum. Yum. Soooo good!!!

Well, Tom and I were watching Paula Dean on the Food Network and she was making a pie on her show, so me trying to be a good wife made him a home made lemon meringue pie. Sadly, it was raining outside though so the meringue didn't get as big as I wanted it to. It turned out wonderful though. I actually make these pies often because they are a favorite in my family.
We ended up grilling out steaks for dinner and had the pie for desert. What more could we ask for? HAHA

Your pie reminds me of summer as a little girl. My mom use to make them all the time. I LOVE making pies!! I have been making them on my own since I was about 18, and I make all sorts of tarts and regular pies. I really don't know why people freak out about making crusts, do you?
Is your Whole Foods real far from where you live? I go to mine every day, since it backs up against my daughters high school. At first the staff thought I was crazy being there every single day, but I have always shopped for the days groceries as far back as I remember. Then moving to France I fit in real well, since they do the same. I'm glad you have one near by, most people don't have the pleasure.

Hey, Nerm, thanks! And feel free to sashay on over for a sachet! By the way--what are those cool pink things on your banner? My first impulse is to eat them, then on second look, I want to stitch them onto something!

Nerm, I wondered when I read that "you died" part if you would catch it or not! That was funny! I LOVE Teena Flanner, and I have her book, too. I started with the paper pulp about three years ago and made stuff like crazy, then quit for awhile. I'd love to put together a tutorial! I'll get to work on it.

Your pie looks as good as Paula's! I love her show, I used to watch all those cooking shows everytime I nursed my babies! I quit nursing the baby in Jan so no more cooking shows!

Nerm, you are beautiful!! It's about time you posted your picture! Now we have seen 3 generations of beautiful women, thanks for sharing!
