OK, I wanted to apologize that I have just been able to get back with the updates on Nerm. Sadly, she is still in the hospital trying to recover. There have been quite a few complications and set backs. When it rains it really does pour!
We are hoping that she will be able to go home in the next couple of days. She is extremely eager to return to her happy home and out of the hospital.
She misses you all very much and looks forward to being able to blog again and feel better. Please continue to pray for her and her recovery. Thank you all so much. -Kitty

CATCHING UP
Yes, I'm still here. Alive, but not particularly well. More on that later. I wanted to share some photos with you to show what's been going on. Last week I spent a very enjoyable afternoon lunching and shopping with Victoria Lynn of Sweet Victoria Antiques. Turns out that we have alot of common interests. We enjoyed all the autumnal decorations and tried hard to pretend it was fall here in middle Tennessee. Even if it was 90 degrees yesterday. We are supposed to cool off soon, so says the weatherman. hmmmm, we'll see.
I bought this great basket and got it filled and hanging on my front door yesterday. I love it because it's just a little different.
I found these teeny little pumpkins and arranged them around a fall candle. Nice.

These are the cutest little pumpkins-rather out of focus, but you get the idea.
Here's a rusty leaf hanging on my back door. I've had this for a couple of years, but still really like it.
Now on to the really important stuff: Grandparents Day! This was at Tanner's school. Here is the kindergarten class singing a welcome song. His teacher has been a kindergarten teacher for 30 years! Bless her heart! The classroom was so bright and cheerful.
After visiting the classroom, we got to eat lunch with our student. I wish I had taken pictures of the paintings on the wall of the cafeteria. So darling. Even though I wasn't feeling very well, I had a great time. I always loved to visit the kid's schools and was a big volunteer. Wonder if they need any grandmas at Tanner's school?
I've been under the weather due to an adverse reaction to my arthritis medicine, Enbrel. This is a weekly injection and it just didn't work for me. I've had fever and coughing; aches and pains, rash, and on and on. Good grief. Now just have to wait for it to get out of my system and it's back to square one. Meanwhile, it's alot of couch time for Nerm.

QUICK HELLO
Sorry no pictures today. I've got lots of news, but I'm feeling a little under the weather, so I'll try to make a post tomorrow. Just wanted y'all to know I'm still around.
I've had a most enjoyable lunch date with Victoria Lynn and gone yard sale-ing again.
The heat has finally broken here, and I love, love it! We'll talk soon. Luv, Nerm

BACK TO WORK
Hi folks! Did everyone have a restful and fun Labor Day holiday? Mine was kinda quiet, but nevertheless, very nice. We had the family cookout on Sunday since Monday was really more of a work/school night. We gave our dogs baths-now don't laugh-that's quite the undertaking. And, as promised, I bought some quilt fabric. I have started a little lap quilt for me for the long, winter nights to come. That's a joke since I live in Tennessee and it hasn't snowed here to speak of in the last 3-4 years! Hope springs eternal, because I love a good snow.
Anyway, here's the beginning of that little quilt. I have tried to restrain my love of color and make this a little softer in line with my idea of my newly redecorated bonus/rec room. (still in progress).
